Mama's boy or Daddy's little girl?

Pink or blue. Today was the day we found out. I've been dying to have this ultrasound done. Not only so that I can start shopping for this little bean but also to make sure that everything inside is in good working order. I had a slight panic attack on the way to the office and Scott was meeting me there. So, I called up one of my besties and she talked me through my moment of irrational thinking. And assured me everything would be fine. And she made me laugh. I love her for that. Thanks Miranda! You see, that's the problem with being a pediatric nurse. We know too much. My list of things to watch for on the ultrasound was more than just girl parts or boy parts. It went something like this. I won't name them all or you'll start to think I'm neurotic.

1. 4 chambered heart. check.

2. Intact diaphragm. check.

3. Enclosed spinal column. check.

4. Intestines inside belly. check.

5. Appropriate sized limbs. check.

Phew! We made it through unscathed. A healthy, growing baby. I feel blessed. We feel blessed. Life is good.

Oh-- and about those boy or girl parts. May I introduce you to our little man...

My dear Kaydi Rae and Scott, Congratulations on the little boy. He will be so adorable and I am very happy for you. Also I am glad he is healthy (with hopefully not too much hair) and no doubt happy in that belly of yours. Great update.

Yeah, a little boy...how exciting! We do know too much when it comes to this, and I know the feeling of having the checklist and being nervous. I have now had the panic attack 3 times and am glad I have 3 healthy kids. I hope your pregnancy is going well. We wish you luck.

Oh my gosh, yay!! I'm so excited for you! I've always wanted to have a boy first myself cause I always wanted an older brother growing up. You're going to be a great mom! And I'm so glad he's healthy! :)

Yay for boys! I'm going to echo what everyone else has said. I love having boys (I don't have a girl so I might be a little one sided). But little boys love thier momma's. That is the best. I'm excited for you. And I agree with Chrystal, where is the little belly picture. Want to see it!!

wow, he's grown a lot since the first ultrasound. Long legs and arms, and looks less like a peanut and more like a baby! Hooray for being a neurotic nurse. It will come in handy as he get's older. Boys are always getting into trouble :)
